Getting to Berekfürdõ
Berekfürdõ is situated at the Eastern part of Hungary, approximately 160 kilometers (100 miles) East to Budapest, between towns Karcag and Kunmadaras.
For the sake of simplicity, let's skip the part where you actually get to Hungary :)
By car:
- Take route 4 (E60) to Karcag, then turn to Kunmadaras (Tiszafüred). Turn right approximaltey 10 kilometers (6 miles) on the road between Karcag and Kunmadaras.
- Take route M3 (E71) to Füzesabony, then turn to Poroszló on road 33 up to Tiszafüred, where take route 34 to Kunmadaras. Berekfürdõ is approx. 6 kilometers (4 miles) from Kunmadaras (on the left).
By train:
Go to Karcag on train line #100 (Budapest - [Szolnok] -Nyíregyháza). Take a train or a bus to Berekfürdõ - the former is not recommended, though, as the train station is a 20 minutes walk from the village. (At night in the darkness. All the way alongside a cursed forest. :))
